Why Bother?

Why I Started Suspended eBay Seller:

There are several reasons for launching this site. This page will discuss some of them, and also discuss some of the approaches I will take towards my administration of Suspended eBay Seller.

The main one is the fact that I have never endured an organization that behaves more incompetently, commits more atrocious acts of customer disservice and acts so callously towards its customer base. In the past, when I become unhappy with the service I am getting with a company, usually that can be resolved by speaking to a supervisor, or two or three supervisors up the chain of command. At eBay, there is no chain of command that is accessible to customers. Asking to speak to a supervisor will result in various instances of customer disservice and sometimes they’ll flat out hang up on you or tell you that you cannot speak to anyone other than that rep.

I have been selling online and offline profitably for years before opening an account on eBay, and I will be selling profitably for years to come without eBay. I don’t need eBay, and they are not the only game in town as some would have you think. This site will hopefully help some to realize their full selling potential outside of eBay. There are plenty of other places to sell, some much better, some much easier, some much cheaper and some a combination of the three.

One reason I did not start this site was to convince the nay sayers. There are plenty of folks out there who love eBay to death and it will not be possible to convince them of what I know to be fact until they fall into some trap that eBay sets. Some of those people will undoubtedly come here and spam the comments lamenting against me in their own spasms of rage. This website is setup for people who want to help themselves out of their eBay-related messes to do so.

Those who have nothing to add to the debate save rage against this site will soon find themselves removed from here. This is my site and those who don’t like the way I do things are welcome to go be mad in a corner or start their own sites. As I write this, I can see one of you saying “Whats wrong, eBay treated you that way, now you treat us this way. Unfair!” And yes, that is a point, but not a good one. Unlike eBay, I am not promising you a place where you can sell or do whatever in a utopian everything is fair, sanitized and clean community. What I am promising, however, is the most information available anywhere on eBay’s dark side and help to those who want to help themselves.

The way eBay treated me (and continues to treat me) has made me quite unhappy. I have never been one to lay down and take a kick in the guts and this incident will be no exception. This website is just as much to help me keep my complaint organized and remember what I am fighting against as it is to help you fight your own battles with eBay. I have pretty much declared open season on eBay and I will attack them at every chance I get. I only get chances because they continue to offer them, so when they clean up their act this website will be nothing but a historical graveyard. Until that happens, this site will be the most comprehensive site on which to obtain the very latest about eBay’s latest dirty tricks.
